Michigan Relocation Council Scholarship - $1,000
This is a scholarship opportunity for current high school seniors attending Detroit, Ann Arbor, Lansing, Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo Public schools (and surrounding counties) who have relocated into Michigan between grades 9 and 12. Deadline to apply is March 1, 2024. More information can be found HERE.
Tuition Incentive Program (TIP)
The Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) encourages eligible Medicaid recipients to complete high school by providing tuition assistance during an eligible student’s qualifying certificate or associate degree program and also during the student’s bachelor’s degree program. These two periods of assistance are referred to as ‘Phase I’ and ‘Phase II'.
Only students who were identified by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) as having met the Michigan Medicaid eligibility requirement may be considered for TIP.
Phase 1 of the Tuition Incentive Program (TIP) provides college tuition assistance after high school graduation towards a certificate or associate degree. After earning a certificate, associate degree, or 56 transferable credits, the student may be eligible to receive TIP Phase II, up to $500 per semester while pursuing a bachelor’s degree, not to exceed $2,000 total.

Michigan Promise Zones are communities designated through state law to make college scholarships available to all students in a locality.
FAFSA Information - Applying for College
Many The Free Application for Federal Student Aid can be submitted starting October 1 each year. The deadline is March 1; however, most financial aid is awarded on a first come, first served basis, so submit your FAFSA Application as soon as possible! By completing the FAFSA, you are applying for Federal and State Grants, Federal Student Loans, and Federal Work Study. Upon completion of your FAFSA, your EFC (Expected Family Contribution) will be calculated. The EFC is an index number used by colleges to determine your eligibility for financial aid.
